What it is and why it matters
A webcast is a live broadcast delivered over the internet to wherever your audience is: a public platform, a company intranet, or a paid gate. The production side, cameras and switching, is only half the job. The other half is delivery: encoding the program into a stream, moving it out of the venue, and getting it onto every screen without buffering.
That second half is where most streams fail, and where the difference between vendors is largest. A stream that dies during a wedding toast is sad. A stream that dies during an earnings-adjacent town hall, a paid fight card, or a public hearing is a business problem with your name on it. The fix isn't luck. It's redundancy: a second encoder already running, a second network path already live, and a person whose entire job is watching the stream's health while everyone else watches the event.
Platform choice matters too, and it's a real decision, not a checkbox:

Two encoders, running in parallel, on independent paths where possible. One hardware failure never becomes an outage. Every show gets an engineering review that sets this tier deliberately.
Stream security when it matters
Password gates, registration, single-use links, embed restrictions, and private CDN delivery for events that are not for the public.
Monitored delivery
An engineer watches encoder health, bitrate, and the viewer-side player for the entire event. Problems get caught at the "boring" stage.
Recording, always
The program is recorded redundantly regardless of what the stream does. There is always a master.

What happens after you request a quote

Questions we get asked
Can you stream from a venue with bad or locked-down internet?
Yes. We survey connectivity in advance and bring our own transmission paths when the venue's network can't carry the show. Venue Wi-Fi is never the plan.
Can the stream be private?
Yes, at several levels: unlisted links, passwords, registration gates, single-use links, and private CDN delivery for confidential corporate events. We'll match the security model to what's actually at stake.
Which platforms can you stream to?
YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, LinkedIn, Teams and Zoom integrations, any RTMP or SRT destination, private CDNs, and gated pay-per-view. Multiple destinations at once is routine.
Can we charge viewers?
Yes. Gated pay-per-view delivery is a standard part of this capability, and when an event needs ticketing too, that runs on our separate streaming platform. Ask when you book.
What happens if the stream fails mid-event?
On critical shows, a parallel encoder and a second network path are already running, so a failure becomes a switchover measured in seconds. And the program is always recorded, so there is a master no matter what the internet did.
Do you just stream, or do you produce too?
Both, and usually together. This page is the delivery half; the camera and switching half lives on our multi-camera production page. Single-camera webcasts are a real offering too, engineered with the same care.
How far in advance should we book?
Two to four weeks lets us survey properly. We've turned webcasts around in days when it mattered; call and ask.
