POST-EVENT EDITING

The event, after the event.

Your broadcast ends, and you're holding hours of professionally shot, multi-angle footage. That material has more work to do. AVP.Live cuts replay masters, recaps, and highlight clips from the productions we film, so the event keeps paying you back after the lights go down.

  • Cut from your broadcast footage
  • Replay masters to social clips
  • Add-on pricing, not agency retainers

What it is and why it matters

Let's be precise about what this is: post-event editing is the add-on layer on top of an AVP.Live production. We are not a content agency, and this page isn't selling you a monthly video subscription. What we're selling is simpler and better: the footage from your event is already shot, multi-angle, with clean audio and marked moments, and it would be a waste to let it sit in an archive untouched.

The economics are the argument. The expensive part of video is production: crew, cameras, audio, a venue, a day. Your event already paid for all of it. Editing is the cheap second harvest. A highlight reel cut from broadcast footage costs a fraction of what the same reel would cost shot from scratch, and it looks better, because it was shot by a broadcast crew with a director.

We think of it as a ladder. Start where your needs are and stop when they're met:

- The replay master. The full program, cleaned up: dead air trimmed, tops and tails polished, ready for on-demand viewing, replay sales, or the district archive. - The recap. Three to five minutes that tell the event's story: for sponsors, boards, internal comms, or next year's promotion. - Highlight and social clips. The big plays and best moments, cut to the formats where your audience actually is, delivered while people still care. - Season and series packages. For recurring productions, a standing editing plan so every event ships with its clips, automatically.

How we run it

Post starts during pre-production

When editing is in the plan, we shoot for it: ISO camera recordings, multitrack audio, and replay-marked moments all become edit assets. This is why editing an AVP.Live production is fast; the material arrives organized.

The replay operator already found your highlights

On sports broadcasts, every moment marked for replay during the game is a timestamped edit note. The highlight reel starts half-built. How replay works

Your brand carries through

The graphics package from your broadcast, scorebugs, lower thirds, and sponsor cards, carries into the edited pieces, so the recap looks like the broadcast, because it is the broadcast.

A defined delivery, not an open loop

Deliverables, formats, runtimes, and dates are in the quote. You review a cut, we revise it, it ships. No agency scope-creep, no surprise hours.

Fast turnarounds priced honestly

Same-week clips are standard. Same-day and next-day delivery are available when the moment matters more than the price, and the quote says exactly what speed costs.

Archive discipline

Masters and ISOs are retained per your agreement, so the season reel in June can draw on the game from September.

Questions we get asked

Can you edit footage from an event you didn't produce?

Sometimes, and we're selective. Our editing exists as the second life of a produced event, and outside footage often lacks the ISOs, audio stems, and organization that make our post work fast and good. Send us what you have and we'll give you a straight answer.

How fast can we get highlights?

Standard clip packages ship within the week. Next-day and same-day delivery are available when scheduled in advance, and for live-to-tape studio productions, same-day is the format. See live-to-tape

What's the difference between the replay master and the raw recording?

The raw recording is everything, including the twenty minutes of empty podium before doors. The replay master is the program cleaned for viewing: trimmed, leveled, and packaged for wherever it will live.

Who owns the footage and the edits?

You do, per your agreement. Masters and deliverables are yours; we retain archives so future edits stay possible.

Can sponsors appear in the edited pieces?

Yes, and they should. Sponsor cards and branding from the broadcast carry into recaps and clips, which extends the airtime you sold them. It's a renewal argument at season's end.

Is this a monthly content service?

No. We're a live production company, and editing is how your event keeps working after it ends. If you need ongoing content production disconnected from events, an agency serves you better, and we'll say so.
