BROADCAST GRAPHICS

Graphics that make it a broadcast.

The score in the corner. The name under the speaker. The sponsor card before the replay. Graphics are how a stream stops asking the audience to guess. AVP.Live designs, builds, and operates broadcast graphics live, in your brand, not a template's.

  • Scorebugs built for your sport
  • Your brand, not a template
  • Operated live, all show

What it is and why it matters

Broadcast graphics are the layer of live information drawn over the program: scorebugs, lower thirds, lineups, agendas, sponsor cards, and full-screen boards. They're rendered in real time and driven by an operator who updates them as the event moves.

Why it matters splits by audience. For viewers, graphics answer the questions that make a stream watchable: who is this, what's the score, how much time is left, what session is next. A viewer who has to ask leaves. For your brand, graphics are the difference between an event that looks produced and one that looks captured; consistent color, type, and logo treatment across a whole broadcast does more for how your organization is perceived than any single camera shot.

And for sponsors, graphics are inventory you can sell. A sponsor card before every replay, a logo on the scorebug, a "halftime brought to you by" board: this is real, measurable airtime in the broadcast itself, not a banner behind a folding table. Schools and promoters routinely fund a meaningful share of production costs by selling graphics placements. We'll help you structure the inventory, because we build it show after show.

One honest note: bad graphics are worse than none. A misspelled name, a stale score, or a default-font scorebug undercuts everything else. Which is why we treat graphics as a build, then an operated position, not a checkbox.

How we run it

The package is built before show day

We collect your logos, colors, rosters, names, titles, and sponsor assets, then build every graphic in your brand. You review and approve before anything goes to air. Names get checked twice; a lower third with a typo is broadcast forever.

Sport-specific scorebugs

Wrestling scoring is not basketball scoring. Our scorebugs are built per sport, with clock, period, and state handled correctly, and can integrate with venue scoreboards or run from a manual operator where integration isn't possible.

A graphics operator runs the show

Live graphics are a performance. An operator fires lower thirds on the director's call, keeps scores current, and adjusts when the run-of-show changes, because it always changes.

Corporate and civic packages too

Speaker lower thirds, agenda boards, Q&A prompts, motion-vote displays for public meetings, holding slides, and countdowns. Same discipline, different room.

Integrated with replay and the switch

Sponsor-branded replay wipes, transitions, and bumpers are coordinated with the technical director so the show reads as one designed thing.

Reusable season packages

For leagues, districts, and recurring series, the package is built once and reused all season, which drops the per-event cost and keeps the brand consistent.

The gear

  • Graphics systems real-time broadcast graphics engines with operator control.
  • Scorebug tooling sport templates and scoreboard integrations.
  • Playback sponsor spots, bumpers, and video rolls into the program.
  • Design package design and build handled in-house before show day.

What happens after you request a quote

  1. A real person replies within one business day.
  2. A 15-minute call about the event and what the audience needs on screen.
  3. A free walk-through; brand assets and rosters get collected early.
  4. A written plan and one price, with the graphics package scoped item by item.
  5. You approve the package before show day. Then it's our job.

Questions we get asked

Can graphics match our school, company, or promotion branding exactly?

Yes. Packages are built from your logos, colors, and type, and you approve every template before air. If you have brand guidelines, send them; we like them.

Can the scorebug pull from our venue's scoreboard?

Often, yes; it depends on the scoreboard system, and we confirm during the advance. Where integration isn't possible, a trained operator runs the score manually, which is how much of television still does it.

How does sponsor graphics revenue actually work?

You sell placements: scorebug presence, replay wipes, break boards, "brought to you by" segments. We build the assets and guarantee the airtime in the show. Many programs cover a real share of production cost this way, and we'll share inventory structures that have worked.

What do you need from us, and when?

Logos, brand colors, names and titles, rosters, and sponsor assets, ideally two weeks out. We handle the design and build from there.

Can you do graphics for a corporate or government event, not just sports?

Yes. Lower thirds, agendas, vote and motion displays, holding screens, and Q&A graphics are standard for our corporate and civic work.

Is a graphics operator really necessary?

For live graphics, yes. Scores change, speakers swap, agendas slip. Unattended graphics drift out of date and the audience notices in minutes. The operator is what keeps the screen truthful.
